El Morro

(The Little Hill) is a once-in-a-lifetime diving adventure you will never forget. These groupings of rock pinnacles extend 6 miles west of the Marietas Islands above the surface of the Pacific Ocean. Experienced divers would enjoy exploring the most secluded dive site near Punta Mita, which is a haven for humpback whales, dolphins, sailfish, massive manta rays, and even whale sharks.

Jacques Yves Cousteau popularized the islands through his films. Dolphins and humpback whales can be seen during the season. This is also the most likely location to see massive manta rays. Other species that frequent Islas Marietas include sea turtles, parrotfish, and hammerhead sharks, making it a prime diving destination.
