The Surf trip to the beaches of Mexico Saladita was accompanied by two of the riders Starboard Mexico: Sergio Gonzales, originally from Sayulita, Nayarit and Max Juarez, Acapulco, Guerrero, who participated in the Longboard category of the event.
The adventure began on Thursday, September 4 when we arrived at our destination in Playa Troncones and met Max traveling from Acapulco. After a typical dinner, we were about to reach what would be our home for 4 days: The Smiling Dolphin House, but before we had to make an official stop for a tire change our official vehicle.
The competition was held at Playa La Saladita with a wave that has left an incredible distance. Daily serious about meeting in the restaurant LOURDES who is more local fame for their traditional surf and demonstrate his style in the following days to register with the Longboard competition for ladies.
During our trip to beaches Guerrero a storm swell is present in the area that would pump waves over the weekend of 3 -4 meters, so expect a good competition for everyone. Thank you Mother Nature!

On Friday, September 5 would make a scouting the area around La Saladita, trying to find the best place to race TIKI RACE SERIES. We accompany Gustavo Duccini and friends. Gustavo is the Director of Open Surf League and Neofreak. We found a water outlet to the sea, where excellent pool is formed: ideal for our career. We did a pre-run checking the area and we had a great time admiring the views and greenery of this place.
I arrive on Saturday, September 6, indicating the filing date of the race TIKI TRONCONES RACE SERIES – THE SALADITA. During the days before the race the team Surf Mexico in conjunction with the voice of the Open Surf League: Joe Estrada, promoted the invitation to race TIKI RACE SERIES and could record 13 teams to be integrated for 4 people each: between the local teams Saladita Drivers TV, Open Surf League of Staff, Models, professionals and the general public were surfers.

February 2 qualifying heats, with the assistance of the public were conducted. The winners of each heat met in a final, which turned out to be one of the most fought any Tiki Race Series we have made. The smiles, joy and emotions of the participants were allowed to watch from beginning to end!

Sunday September 7, our last day of promotion and competition in the Open Surf League of Troncones Riviera – The Saladita where our attention was found to support Sergio Gonzales who fight for the title of a Category Longboard; The heat also conform what Marco Mancilla, Fernando Garcia and Luis Cruz. A tight end, with almost clean waves, even with some areas where the wave kept closed and connected, but each competitor would select in his best wave and time in order to have the best score. Sergio could make major moves and exploit the sets of waves that were presented, even I get a turn 360 in a wave of more travel and ending this trick almost before the judges of the event.
